Thulium Farm manages approximately 5500 acres (~2100 hectares) of land. Activities are guided by management plans, which are completed in collaboration with a professional forester and the South Eastern New Brunswick (SENB) Wood Marketing Board.
Thulium’s primary objective is to demonstrate management for biological diversity, water, fish, wildlife and other forest resource values while recognizing the sustainable harvest of timber.
Thulium recognizes the importance of maintaining a stable and healthy ecosystem. The historical Acadian Forest is also important to Thulium, and whenever practicable, activities will promote the establishment of the species composition that reflect “true” Acadian Forest (pre-European settlement).
Thulium is committed to managing second growth and each year invests in Silviculture activities that may include mechanical site preparation, mixed species planting (field reclamation & reforestation), and stand tending.
